A few stats: about 18 km, about 800 m elevation gain, about 10:30 hours with breaks. We took the Tasuleasa Social stamp from Tasuleasa Social.
Once again I felt like we were walking too much on roads. There was a steep uphill, and even the poor horses were struggling. We met up with the Italian group again, and they went ahead of us. We got some encouraging words from the people with the horse-drawn cart. After the hill, the landscape was indeed beautiful. We took breaks in the shade. Because we took version B, we ended up in Poiana lui Galan, where we took a long break, talked with the Galan family, had some very yummy pies, and a tasty green bean dish.
When we arrived at Tasuleasa Social, because they had the Marathon event the next day, we were pretty much ignored, and made to feel like we were in the way, like how dare we hike Via Transilvanica when they had a running event on. I was hoping to take a hot shower and wash our clothes there, but it didn’t work out that way. Well, it is what it is, we took a cold shower the next morning, as the water came straight from the fountain.
We camped at Tasuleasa Social.
